Oakfield Community
Redefining Supported Living Through Film
We partnered with Oakfield Community, a leading provider of supported living in Northamptonshire, to produce a comprehensive five-part video series. Moving away from the traditional residential care model, Oakfield offers tenants autonomy and high-quality housing at their Yardley Hastings and Easton Maudit sites. Our mission was to capture the vibrant, independent lifestyle of the residents and the unique "Seed to Plate" and community-led initiatives that make Oakfield a leader in the disability care sector.

The Brand Film: Who We Are
Our flagship brand film for Oakfield Community captures the essence of their "person-centered" care philosophy. Through cinematic storytelling, we showcase how staff at the Yardley Hastings and Easton Maudit sites empower residents to lead fulfilling, independent lives. From planning weekly menus and shopping trips to pursuing long-term passions—like one resident’s 15-year volunteering legacy at a local country park—this video highlights the tangible impact of tailored support. It’s a powerful look at how Oakfield helps individuals achieve goals they once thought were impossible, fostering independence through activities like swimming, gardening, and community-led day centers.
Supporting Independence | Professional Property & Facilities Management
Providing a safe and secure environment is at the core of the Oakfield Community model. This video highlights the dedicated maintenance and management team who ensure every tenant’s flat is a place they can truly call home. From small personal touches like hanging pictures to ensuring 24/7 on-call support, we showcase how Oakfield upholds high standards of property maintenance while respecting tenant privacy. By documenting the "48-hour notice" inspection process and the transition to independent living—where residents enjoy the simple dignity of making tea and toast in their own kitchens—this film demonstrates the perfect balance of professional facilities management and compassionate, supported living.

The Care Farm & Seed to Plate
Our Seed to Plate feature provides an inside look at the structured horticultural therapy classes offered at Oakfield Community. We captured the hands-on process of attendees growing produce from seed to harvest, highlighting the vocational skills and focus that these gardening sessions provide for residents, veterans, and individuals with learning disabilities. Complementing this is a glimpse into the Oakfield Care Farm, where the peaceful presence of goats, chickens, and rabbits offers a therapeutic backdrop. This film showcases how these outdoor initiatives including the "Adopt an Animal" subscription create a supportive community for volunteers and attendees alike to connect with nature.
Community Integration | The Social Hub & Charity Shop
Our final film in the series explores the Oakfield Pop-Up Shop, a vibrant social enterprise that bridges the gap between the community and the local village. More than just a traditional charity shop, this space serves as a social hub where visitors can enjoy homemade cakes and refreshments in a unique, converted polytunnel seating area. We highlighted the shop’s "Loyalty Card" and "Book Swap" schemes, showcasing how 100% of the proceeds directly support the residents. This video captures the welcoming atmosphere of the Easton Maudit site, demonstrating how socially conscious businesses can foster local connection while generating vital funds for high-quality care.
